Lisa Kinney is currently the Vice President of Customer Analytics and Market Intelligence, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer at Albertsons Companies.
Lisa joined Albertsons in 2018, spearheading customer strategy, data, analytics, and business transformation. Her executive influence has quickly pivoted the company’s public mission from growing profitable sales to building deep and lasting relationships with customers. She is often a sought-after internal consultant, advising on technology, brand, and data investments while leading efforts to build the organization’s customer strategy. Her team has grown exponentially securing investments in talent, data, and capabilities to evolve Albertson’s customer solutions to accelerate Albertsons business transformation efforts.
Today, Lisa serves as the organization’s consultant for customer strategy and business transformation with direct day to day engagement across all executive functions in the business. Lisa leads many of the organization’s redesign efforts focused on bringing to life Albertsons’ newly defined customer strategy, endorsed by the Board in 2021.
Lisa’s industry experience spans three decades and is a known practitioner and passionate believer in the power of customer-driven strategy and its pragmatic integration into an organizations ecosystem, focused primarily on marketing tenants and merchandising processes. She has served as a consultant to industry-leading brands and global retailers, focused on loyalty strategy and activation, defining, and building lifetime value through customer intelligence, 1:1 marketing execution. Lisa is a believer in a customer-first philosophy of data ownership and the need for market disruption and consumer advocacy in media buying, selling, and targeting.
As a strong and proven industry leader in market positioning and commercialization of data solutions that derive market value for brand owners and retailers, Lisa has delivered over $2b in topline revenue / alternative revenue supporting retailer growth and profitability.
Lisa has served as the advisor to brand investments and divestitures for both CPG brands and Retailers and is accomplished speaker and published thought-leader. Lisa has served as a key advisor for retailing M&A efforts both in data and customer-facing solutions. Lisa was a key member of the executive leadership team at dunnhumby and Kroger with Multi-national experience working with retailers in India (Future Group), Brazil (GPA), UK (Tesco), Canada (Shoppers Drug Mart), Amsterdam (Albert Heijn) Germany (REWE) France (Casino) and U.S (Kroger, Giant Eagle, TOPCO, AholdUSA).
Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and resides in San Diego, CA. She has served in several advisory and mentorship positions such as: Former Advisor to Blue Rock Capital, Career mentor, graduate program, Xavier University and Advisory Board member for Ad adapted and 4C. Lisa has won several industry awards, most recently MMR’s “Most Influential Women in Retailing”
Lisa has two adult children, Baylee, who is soon entering Graduate School in Tampa and Cameron, a schoolteacher specializing in children who are high on the Autism spectrum. She is an avid hiker and dog lover, often volunteering at local shelters.
